Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, the biopic on Sanjay Dutt which made the fastest Rs 100 at the box office, is going to have a sequel with the main focus being Dutt’s earlier two marriages and his daughter Trishala Dutt. The latest buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that writer Abhijat Joshi wants to use the remaining pages of Dutt’s life which were not covered in the first part.

It may be recalled that Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt had been criticized for being far away from reality and focusing on the only father-son relationship. Even Trishala was said to be upset with the film for excluding her from it. In fact, only Maanayata Dutt’s marriage was shown in the film and this had not gone well with Sanjay Dutt’s daughter.

After watching the film, Sanjay Dutt was very much impressed with Ranbir Kapoor and Hirani and wanted them to go for a sequel for the same. Let us hope it materializes soon.
