Playing with Pakistan at World Cup would mean cricket is bigger than country: Ex-BCCI secretary timesnownews.com
The 'war' between India and Pakistan on the border has transpired into cricket, with several current and former members of the cricketing fraternity of the opinion that there shouldn't be any play between the two countries at the forthcoming ICC World Cup. While Harbhajan Singh clearly suggested that the country is above the sport, former BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel is of a similar opinion. Bilateral cricketing ties have been suspended between India and Pakistan for long but the two teams have been playing in ICC tournaments. Virat Kohli's men met Sarfraz Ahmed's side twice in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy while Rohit Sharma led the Indian side in the Asia Cup 2018 in Dubai, facing the Men in Green on two occasions.
