Lakhimpur Kheri violence LIVE Updates: Days after the Lakhimpur Kheri clash that claimed the lives of eight people, including four farmers, took place in the Uttar Pradesh district, several new videos are making rounds on social media with multiple claims. One such video has emerged showing a speeding vehicle running over a group of farmers holding black flags and carrying out a demonstration. On Thursday evening, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who were given permission by the UP government to visit Lakhimpur Kheri, also met the families of the deceased farmers. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of India CJI NV Ramana has taken a suo motu cognizance of the violence and has listed the matter before a three-judge bench on Thursday. Prashant Kumar, UP ADG, Law and Order has also said that a thorough probe is underway in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case and will soon trace and catch the guilty.
